Preparing for the oil leak tour

Good evening,  I thought I would try to do a blog again this year. However I hope that David L. Will work his magic as this will be an inferior substitute for sure!

We left Boise on Thursday morning at 6 am and had slightly nasty weather till we got past Ely, Nv., after Ely it started warming up and by the time we got to Las Vegas it was quite warm, enough so the we had to turn the heater on when we got caught in the rush hour traffic of Lost Wages.

We stayed the night at Boulder Station (cheap) and had dinner there, very good (not cheap) at the Broiler Room.

The next morning we met up with Michael Jenkins who was driving his beautiful light blue '69 2+2 and we got back on the freeway heading to Kingman, Az.  a place famous for Andy Devine.

Breakfast was great  and we headed on down the road to Scottsdale arriving early in the afternoon but tired from 2 days in tiny, cramped 50 year old car!

Saturday morning we we're enjoying the camaraderie of people we have gone on other Oil Leaks with, Drew and Mary Scherz from Austin Texas, Geo and Kathleen Hahn from Tucson, az,  Michael Jenkins from Carson City Nv. Mike King from Phoenix, Paul Wigton from Colorado and several others whose names escape me right now (sorry).

Drew Scherz with his freshly repainted '67 that he worked day and night over the last 12 days to get it ready having retrieved it from the painters 12 days ago completely stripped down!  Amazing work in so short a period of time.

One of the many E Types shown at this informal car show,  Some very pretty 99+ pt. cars
Well, that's it for today, I will try to keep a daily blog but with spotty internet connection we'll just have to see.  Thank you for your interest,
Cheers,
Lynn
