Hi Folks,

Tonight we are in Flagstaff, Az and we are beginning to coalesce with new folks joining us along the way.  Last night was interesting with our phones going off at 4 am and 6 am warning us about possible flash flooding.  It was raining hard so I got up to go out and check the car as I was afraid it might be parked in a low area, no worries.

This morning we went to see a car collection owned by a gentleman in Mesa, it was an incredible collection of classic Jaguars that out of courtesy to the owner I will have to refrain from showing pictures.  Needless to say I have never seen a nicer collection of C Type, D Types and XKE's in my life.

Participants at the 'mysterious' Garage tour in Mesa
After the garage tour we headed on up the road around Saguaro Lake and on up to Flagstaff via some very scenic back roads.  One of our friends Michael and Jerry had a near miss when an impatient SUV tried to pass him on a right hand side turn pull out and nearly lost control when he hit some dirt at the end of the pullout.  It's not like we were going slow!
Glenn W. getting out of his very nice FHC that he has had, IIRC since new!

We stopped for a picnic lunch in Payton, we had picked up salads and sandwiches in Scottsdale

Just a few of the cars with more anticipated to join us in Flagg.

Well that's it for this evening, the weather has run the full spectrum including snow just after Payton, it looks like it was a good thing we brought some warm cloths.  I feel bad for Drew and Mary (from Austin) as they don't have a heater in their car.

We're staying the night in Little America which is really nice, as we pulled in a group of 50 new white Ford Mustangs pulled in behind us. Turned out that it was a group of men from Germany touring the western US!  Met one fellow who chatted with me for 45 min about E Types, turned out that Andre' owns an E Type back home in Germany.  What really amazed me though was how fluent they all were in english, wish I could speak german!

We just got back from dinner and most everyone was there though you wouldn't know it from my pictures
